Finding good solutions together

Digitalization is a topic that is on everyone's lips. Digitalization is to be understood as an ongoing process that will change all our lives, whether we like it or not.  The museum world has also been dealing with this topic for years - more or less intensively. The project is also a mammoth task because technological development is advancing at breakneck speed, but museums are often neither adequately staffed nor funded. Not to mention the inadequate infrastructure in general. Decision-making structures have also become outdated in some cases and do not really facilitate the process.

Rapid technical development often causes major problems. It is difficult to maintain an overview of the possibilities currently available. However, it is much more difficult to assess which technologies could be usefully applied in one's own museum.

We at tuomi write here about different digital mediation solutions because we really know all about them! We have been working with technical and digital solutions for over 20 years. Since we are a classic system house, experts in IT, cloud computing and software developers, we have a good overview of this field.

We observe the developments in museums with interest and make our own thoughts about what is new in museums. We have a different view on the developments and will present here what moves us. We would like to react to current topics, present and discuss projects that catch our attention and in the best case (we hope) stimulate an exchange on them.

It is our conviction that good solutions can only be found if everyone contributes their expertise.
